Bismillahir Rahmanir Rahim
Wa Sall Allahu ta ‘ala ‘alaa Sayyidinaa wa Mawlaana Muhammadin wa ‘alaa Aalihi wa Ashaabihi wa Dhurriyaatihi wa Ummati ajma'een.
BLESSED NAME: His name is Ali and is known as Abu al-Hassan and Abu Turab and his titles are Murtuda, Asadullah and Haidar-e-Karraar. HIS FATHER: His father was Abu Taalib and Grandfather were Abdul Mutallib. Abu Taalib is the uncle of the Prophet Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Aalihi wa sallim. HIS MOTHER: His mother's name was Faatima bint Asad, bin Haashim, bin Abd Munaaf. Her Janazah was performed by Rasoolullah Sall Allahu ‘alaihi wa Aalihi wa sallim, and he gave his blessed Qamees (Kurta) to be used as her kaffan (shroud). He prepared her grave and first he himself laid down in her grave, so that it will be comfortable for her in the grave, and so that she may be adorned in the Garb of Jannat. [Noor al-Absaar] MIRACULOUS EVENTS IN THE WOMB OF HIS MOTHER: When Sayyidina Ali Radhi Allahu ta ‘ala anhu was in the womb of his mother, then she used to see astonishing dreams. She says, “When I was pregnant with Ali Radhi Allahu ta ‘ala anhu, some bright people came to me and gave me glad tidings, and for as long as he was in womb, I felt very different, and whenever I intended to prostrate before the idols, I would have a severe pain in my stomach. In this way, I could not prostrate to any idol.” [Masaalik as-Saalikeen] HIS BIRTH: Sayyidina Ali Radhi Allahu ta ‘ala anhu was born on a Friday. Some narrations quote the date as the 13th of Muharram and others state the 13th of Rajab. His birth occurred 30 years after the incident of Feel. He was born inside the Holy Kaa'ba, and none has been blessed with this excellence before him. [Noor al-Absaar]

Ka'bul-Akhbar Makes His Profession of Islam
by the Blessing of the Words of Hazrat Ali (karam Allah wajhahu)
taken from Rawza Tus-Safaa
Edited by His Eminence Imam Sheikh Sayyid Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani El-Hashimi
There is a tradition that when Amir al-Mu'mineen Ali sojourned in the country of Yaman, preached, and taught the ordinances of Islam, and Ka'bul-akhbar had been informed of his eloquence, he donned a robe, mounted a camel, and proceeded in company of one of the Ulama of the Jews, who was his co-religionist, to the assembly of the Amir, who at the time they entered, happened to be preaching and uttering the words, 'There are men who can see in the night, but not in the day,' and Ka'bul-akbar said: 'He speaks the truth.' Afterwards the illustrious Commander said: 'Whoever gives with a short hand will be requited with a long hand.' Ka'b again manifested his approbation, but his Jewish companion asked him how he could approve of sentiments the meaning whereof is ambiguous? Ka'b, however, replied: 'The man who sees in the night, but not in the day, is he who believes in the first book [i.e., the Pentateuch] but not in the last [i.e., the Holy Qur'an]. He who sees neither in the night nor in the day is a man who believes in neither; and the other assertion is [likewise] plain, because with Allah the Most High and Glorious alms are acceptable, and He returns them abundantly.'

Nahmaduhu wa Nusalli ‘alaa Rasulihil Kareem
Dua’ ‘Ali
Also known as the Diwan of Hadhrat Ali Karam Allahu wajhahu
Translated by his eminence Imam El Sheikh Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani El Hashmi
Words from His Eminence Sultan Muhyuddin Syed Mubarik Ali Shah Gilani Vice Chancellor International Qur’anic Open University
I dedicate this translation to my master, my teacher and my ancestral father Ali Asad Allah كرّم الله وجهه, the victor of Khyber, the Sword of Allah, gate of the city of knowledge, ocean of wisdom, revealer of the secrets and exponent of the most intricate and complicated sciences regarding the creation of the universe, man and his relation to Allah. My blessed master Ali, according to my Sheikha Syeda Mariam Qadria, wife of my grandfather used to take me away physically from her presence assuring my return, yet it would leave her crying in despair when she would see both of us leaving to where he would teach me, prepare me for my mission, cleanse my heart of impurities and purify my nafs and base desires. He has never left me alone and is still my help and guide and also the guide of my followers whom he meets often. Last month, he met Shamaila, the queen of Islamic melodies who sings his Du’aa in a very beautiful way, which goes to the heart, and he told her he would teach her to recite his Du’aa.
I advise everyone to recite this in Arabic and those who cannot should recite it in English. First offer two nawafils and send credit to The Holy Last Messenger (صلّى الله عليه و سلّم) and then offer another two nawafils sending credit to Syeda Fatima-tuz-Zahra, the rose of Jennah, Hazrat Imam Hasan and Hazrat Imam Husain (radiyallahu ‘anhum). Then recite this Du’aa once daily and not only will the reciter be blessed with meeting my master, but his needs will be fulfilled. Those who don’t know Arabic should listen to the recitation by Shamaila Khanam Ali Qadria.

O’ The Answerer of our prayers And the One Who has raised the sky high; Eternal art Thou, Who bestows in abundance without measure to the poor and hungry.
